Graphic 45 - Imagination Steampunk Airship

Hello!!

Dropping in today to share a project I created for Graphic 45. When I first saw the gorgeous Imagine Collection I was instantly in love and couldn't wait to create something with it. When I was flicking through the papers I come across the paper featuring the balloons and I knew exactly what I wanted to do, I wanted to create a balloon but as I had already done a couple of them I decided to try something a bit different and I love how it turned out.

'Imagination Steampunk Airship'

I created my own balloon, wing, tail, and ship base templates myself with a little bit of trial and error, but I really like the shape of how they finally turned out.

I used toothpicks to create the airship wings outline. the balloon is being held up from the ship base using large wooden skewers which are hidden in behind the fussy cut pillars.

I used cotton thread to create the ship straps and added some chains for an authentic look.

The ship base was trimmed with chain and some G45 metal brads.

Lots of fussy cutting went into the balloon main cluster, I so love the saying! I just adore this collection, it is beautiful and the colours are gorgeous.
