Dusty Attic - Altered Paintbrush

Hi Everyone!!

Dropping by today sharing my latest creation created for the gorgeous new Dusty Attic March Mood Board Challenge. The challenge has an amazing prize of a $100 Dusty Attic Gift Voucher for the winner and to enter you simply need to use the Mood Board for Inspiration, you can interpret it anyway you like. The only requirement is that Dusty Attic chipboard is used in your creation. Once completed simply add your link to the right side bar of the Dusty Attic Blog.

So this is the March Mood Board.

It is simply beautiful, I fell in love with to soft colours and that very subtle shade of pink in some of the images.

And this is my interpretation.

'Today Create'

I was inspired by the colours, the overall shabbiness of the images, the pale pink flower and the scrubbing brush.

To alter the paintbrush I layered lots of Dusty chippy. I started with the small wings which were wet and pulled apart for added dimension. I added lots of mini cogs and a mini flourish to the background.

I simply love the chippy keys and the new word strip fitted perfectly on it. These were all simply painted with gesso and given a very light wash of colour.

To the top everything off I have added a sprinkling of the super cute mini butterflies.
